BABYLON IS FALLEN

BABYLON IS FALLEN

Featured Scriptures: Revelation 18:2, Revelation 18:4, Revelation 18:21

She looked untouchable. Kings shared in her power. Merchants prospered through her wealth. Gold, luxury and influence made Babylon appear permanent. Then Revelation reduces all that splendour to a single devastating announcement: "Fallen, fallen is Babylon."

"Babylon Is Fallen", featured on The End Is Glory, enters Revelation 18 at the collapse of a system that once seemed too powerful to fail. The song follows Babylon from her scarlet throne and apparent glory to sudden judgement, while heaven issues an urgent command to God's people: "Come out My people; flee her ways!" What the world celebrates, God sees clearly, and what appears permanent can fall in a moment when He speaks.

Revelation 18:2 announces Babylon's fall with a mighty angelic cry. Revelation 18:4 then turns directly towards God's people, calling them to come out of her so they do not participate in her sins or receive her plagues. Revelation 18:21 provides the song's most dramatic image: a mighty angel takes a stone like a great millstone and throws it into the sea, declaring that Babylon will be thrown down with the same violence and never found again. Together, these passages frame Babylon's destruction not simply as the collapse of earthly power, but as the righteous judgement of God upon corruption and rebellion.

A scarlet throne. Gold and precious stones. Intoxicated kings. Mourning merchants. Smoke rising over a ruined city. A massive stone disappearing beneath the sea. Then the music, lamps and wedding songs cease. "Babylon Is Fallen" builds its imagery directly around Revelation's portrait of a civilisation whose magnificence cannot save it. Against that collapse stands one unshaken reality: "God reigns forever steadfast and strong."

For anyone searching for Christian songs about Babylon, songs inspired by Revelation 18, worship songs about the fall of Babylon, "come out of her My people", end-times prophecy, God's judgement, the last days, Babylon the Great, the merchants of Babylon, the millstone in Revelation, worldly wealth and corruption, separation from worldly systems, God's justice, the judgement of evil, or the ultimate reign of God, "Babylon Is Fallen" brings those themes into a stark biblical declaration. It challenges believers not to measure truth by what appears powerful, prosperous or culturally dominant, but by the Word of the God who sees where every kingdom ends.

Babylon has gold, kings and commerce. Heaven has the final word. "Babylon Is Fallen" opens The End Is Glory with that contrast ringing through the ruins: earthly glory can disappear in an hour, but the throne of God does not move. When everything built against Him finally falls, He will still be King.
