Entering His Presence: whispering HOPE Unveils Secret Place

Some battles are won by standing. Others are won by knowing where to dwell.

Secret Place, the sixth release in the whispering HOPE collection, moves through spiritual authority, divine protection, the unseen ministry of angels, the leading of the Holy Spirit, God’s provision, rest, prayer and restoration. Across eight songs, the album explores a life that draws its strength not from striving, but from remaining close to God.

“Power to Cast Out” opens with the authority Jesus gives His people, declaring that darkness does not have the final say when believers stand in His name. “Under His Shadow” draws listeners into the safety of God’s covering and the refuge found in His presence, while “Angels Among Us” turns towards the unseen ministry of God’s messengers without shifting worship away from the Creator. “Led by the Spirit” moves from protection into direction, exploring the surrendered life of those who allow the Holy Spirit to lead their steps.

“Dew of Heaven” celebrates God’s blessing and provision, while “The Rest of God” exchanges striving for the peace found in trusting Him. “Seven Postures of Prayer” looks through Scripture at different expressions of surrender and devotion, showing that prayer engages far more than words alone. “Failure’s Not the End” closes the album with restoration, declaring that a fallen moment does not have to become the final chapter.

The album’s lyrics were written by Gresha Schuilling, who also created the music and production, with mastering by Shimron Fernando.

For Gresha Schuilling, Secret Place is about what becomes possible when life with God begins from His presence:

“Authority, prayer, protection, rest and being led by the Spirit can sound like separate subjects, but they all lead back to intimacy with God. The secret place is where we learn to hear Him, trust Him and draw our strength from Him. These songs explore what that relationship looks like when it follows us into the rest of our lives.”

For Shimron Fernando, the album’s sound needed to move between spiritual intensity and stillness without losing its centre:

“There are songs here that carry authority and others that invite you into quiet reflection. The challenge was allowing both to breathe. The mastering keeps that contrast intact while giving the whole album a sense that you are moving deeper into the same place of prayer and presence.”

Secret Place moves from authority to surrender, from movement to rest, and from failure to restoration. Through it all runs one invitation: come closer, remain under His shadow, and discover the strength found in His presence.
