From Fasting to Fire: Walking in God’s Voice and Power with whispering HOPE⁸

From the reflective opening of Refined in the Fast, listeners are invited into a season of quiet surrender and refinement (Matthew 6:16–18). Two Roads, One Cross challenges hearts to choose the narrow way of Christ (Matthew 7:13–14; Luke 23:43). Tongues of Fire celebrates the Spirit’s empowering gift (Mark 16:17; Acts 2:4; Joel 2:29). Fear Has No Hold reassures believers of God’s peace over anxiety and fear (Joshua 1:9; John 14:27).

Where the Good Things Grow encourages faithful sowing and perseverance (Galatians 6:7–9; Matthew 26:41). Chosen for This reminds listeners of God’s preordained purposes (Jeremiah 1:5; John 15:16). New Wine Rising celebrates the transforming power of the Spirit (Matthew 9:16–17). Finally, The Voice of God draws hearts into the intimate, still, and powerful presence of God (John 10:27; 1 Kings 19:12).

Reflecting on the heart of the album, lyricist and producer Gresha Schuilling shares:
