From Silence to Song: When Ancient Promises Breathe Again This Christmas with whispering HOPE¹⁰

Christmas does not begin with celebration. It begins with waiting. Today, whispering HOPE¹⁰ is released, a five-song Christmas EP that traces the quiet, aching centuries before Christ and the moment heaven finally broke through the dark. Rooted deeply in Scripture, the project moves from prophetic promise and holy silence into revelation, witness, and joy, inviting listeners to slow down and encounter the miracle of God entering the world.

The EP opens with Heaven Broke the Night, a sweeping prophetic declaration of the Messiah foretold, as eternal light pierces generations of darkness and peace is born into a waiting world (Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:2-7). Four Hundred Winters lingers in the long silence between Malachi and the Gospels, reminding listeners that Gods quiet is never absence, but preparation for fulfilment (Malachi 4:2-6). In Silence Turned to Song, the story turns personal as unbelief gives way to faith and enforced silence is redeemed into prophetic praise through the testimony of Zechariah (Luke 1:5-25; Luke 1:57-64).

Light Found Me widens the horizon as Simeon, led by the Spirit, beholds the Christ Child and proclaims salvation prepared for all peoples, light not only for Israel but for every nation (Luke 2:25-32). The EP closes with Tell It in the Temple, where decades of faithful intercession erupt into joyful proclamation as Anna becomes a witness to redemption fulfilled (Luke 2:36-38).

Speaking about the heart and timing of the project, lyricist and producer Gresha Schuilling explains:

"whispering HOPE¹⁰ was written for the in-between moments of faith. The waiting, the wondering, the quiet prayers that feel unanswered. These songs sit with the stories that often get rushed at Christmas and remind us that God was working even when heaven seemed silent."

From a sonic and atmospheric perspective, mastering engineer Shimron Fernando reflects on the approach:

"We intentionally resisted overproduction on this EP. The arrangements were shaped to breathe, to leave room for stillness and Scripture. Every sound was designed to support the sense of anticipation and reverence that defines the incarnation story."
