When Heaven Speaks: whispering HOPE Unveils Heaven Has Spoken

For four hundred years, it seemed that the silence stretched on. Then heaven spoke.

Heaven Has Spoken, the tenth release in the whispering HOPE collection, is a five-song Christmas EP that traces the waiting before Christ through to the moment ancient promises become living reality. Moving from prophecy and centuries of silence into revelation, witness and proclamation, the EP turns towards the people who waited long enough to see what God had promised finally arrive.

“Heaven Broke the Night” opens with the prophetic promise of the Messiah, carrying Isaiah’s vision of light breaking into darkness and a Child given to the world. “Four Hundred Winters” steps into the long silence between Malachi and the Gospels, holding the tension of generations waiting without yet seeing fulfilment.

“Silence Turned to Song” brings that waiting into the story of Zechariah, where unbelief, enforced silence and fulfilled promise finally give way to prophetic praise. “Light Found Me” moves to Simeon, led by the Spirit into the temple where years of expectation culminate in his arms as he beholds the salvation God has prepared for all peoples. “Tell It in the Temple” closes with Anna, whose decades of prayer and faithful waiting become joyful proclamation when she finally sees the Redeemer.

All five songs were co-written by Gresha Schuilling and Nick C. Casale, with music and production by Gresha Schuilling and mastering by Shimron Fernando.

For Gresha Schuilling, Heaven Has Spoken gives attention to a part of the Christmas story that can easily disappear between prophecy and the manger:

“We often celebrate the moment Jesus came without thinking about how long people had been waiting for Him. These songs stay in that waiting a little longer. Zechariah, Simeon and Anna remind us that silence does not mean God has forgotten what He promised. Christmas is the answer to generations of expectation. Heaven had not forgotten. Heaven had spoken.”

For Shimron Fernando, that long movement from silence into fulfilment shaped the sound of the EP:

“The music needed room for anticipation. We did not want to rush from waiting into celebration, because the silence gives the arrival its weight. As the story unfolds, the sound opens with it, until what began as expectation becomes witness and proclamation.”

Heaven Has Spoken begins with a promise carried through generations and ends with that promise standing in the temple. The silence was long, but God had not forgotten His Word. The Light had come.
