From the commanding opening of Tempted in the Wilderness, believers are reminded of Jesus’ steadfast faith and victory over trials (Matthew 4:1-11; Hebrews 4:15; James 1:12). Hosanna, the King Has Come captures the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, echoing Matthew 21:1-11, Zechariah 9:9, and Psalm 118:25-26, as worshippers join the crowd in acclamation. The Last Supper reflects on the intimate moments of covenant and sacrifice (Luke 22:14-20; John 6:53-58; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

Continuing the journey, It is Finished draws hearts to the cross, celebrating Christ’s ultimate sacrifice and the hope poured out through His obedience (Luke 23:26-49; John 19:28-30; Isaiah 53:3-7). Finally, The Risen King bursts forth with resurrection joy, proclaiming victory over the grave and eternal life (Matthew 28:1-10; 1 Corinthians 15:20-22; Revelation 1:17-18).

After weeks of Scripture study and reflection, lyricist and producer Gresha Schuilling shares the inspiration behind the album:
