From Temptation to Triumph: whispering HOPE Unveils He Is Risen

The story does not end at the cross. It ends with an empty grave.

He Is Risen, the seventh release in the whispering HOPE collection, follows Jesus through the defining moments of the Easter story, from temptation in the wilderness and His arrival in Jerusalem to the table, the cross and the resurrection. Across five songs, the album moves towards the truth at the heart of the gospel: Jesus Christ is alive.

“Tempted in the Wilderness” begins before the crowds and the celebration, with Jesus standing firm against temptation and remaining faithful through every test. “Hosanna, the King Has Come” changes the atmosphere as Jerusalem welcomes its King, filling the road with expectation and praise. “The Last Supper” draws the story into an intimate room where bread and wine become signs of the covenant and the sacrifice that is about to unfold.

“It Is Finished” brings listeners to the cross, where what appears to be defeat becomes the moment Christ completes the work He came to accomplish. Then “The Risen King” breaks the silence of the grave with resurrection morning, declaring that death has been defeated and Jesus lives forevermore.

All five songs were written by Gresha Schuilling, who also created the music and production, with mastering by Shimron Fernando.

For Gresha Schuilling, He Is Risen is about allowing the full Easter journey to make the resurrection feel as astonishing as it truly is:

“These songs begin with Jesus standing faithful in the wilderness and follow Him all the way to the empty grave. I wanted each moment to lead naturally into the next, because when you walk through the whole story, the resurrection becomes even more powerful. The cross was not the end. He is risen.”

For Shimron Fernando, the sound needed to follow the changing weight of the story without revealing its triumph too soon:

“The album moves through temptation, celebration, intimacy, sacrifice and finally resurrection. Each song needed its own emotional space, but the entire journey had to keep moving forward. The mastering was shaped so that when the final song arrives, you can feel that everything has changed.”

He Is Risen begins in the wilderness, passes through Jerusalem and the cross, and ends where Christian hope begins: an empty grave and a risen King.
